Mike Tyson on Barstool Sports Pardon My Take Monday podcast said “Boxing? I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing because that’s what it’s all about — can the boxer beat the MMA guy? Matt Hughes has pulled out of coma after June 16 mishaps

Pat Miletich close friend and fellow Hall Of Famer to Hughes who taught Hughes what he knew as he went on to become the first great longtime UFC welterweight champion has always been a reliable source of information into the life of Hughes as he relays the news regarding the horrific June 16th accident.
Miletich says that Hughes has been “surprising the doctors” having pulled through the coma and is on the way to recovery. He has confirmed that he has not met with Hughes in person as only family members are allowed to meet him while he is being treated at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Ill., after the accident.
On the night of June 16th, Matt Hughes truck was rammed on the passenger side by a train traveling at almost 50mph. He suffered a head injury, and doctors believe that quite a bit of rehab is required. But Miltech is sure of another faceoff. “I’m 100 percent sure he’s going to make a full recovery,” he said.

Amanda Serrano considering a move to MMA?

Amanda Serrano a five division champion and one of the best top tier female fighters in the world is now considering a move into the world of Mixed Martial Arts. She was seen last week in action against Edina Kiss on Friday in Puerto Rico where she won by knockout in just three rounds.

“I love boxing. But the money and recognition for women in MMA is better right now,” said Serrano to Jose Sanchez.
And indeed the pay grade difference between the female fighters and their male counterparts is unmistakable. Serrano though, for the time being, is having problems with finding opponents, but her manager believes that she can make her debut in MMA by 2018.
